The Youth ENAAL hosted the international youth exchange titled “Could U Be Loved, and Be Loved?” in Pervolia from May 5 to May 13, 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, with the participation of 56 young people aged 18–30 from eight European countries.
The project, inspired by the song by Bob Marley, which promotes the values of equality, freedom, and justice, included lectures, experiential workshops, group discussions, and non-formal learning activities, while participants also had the opportunity to explore different cultures by presenting elements of their countries’ traditions, cuisine, and cultural heritage.
At the same time, the participants were sensitized to issues concerning refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, interacting with both staff and residents of refugee accommodation facilities, discussing racism and xenophobia, and developing ideas and proposals to support their local communities. Additionally, they learned about the goals, values, and opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme while strengthening their communication and interpersonal skills.
